Melanie went on to earn a Master’s degree in Social Work from Southern University at New Orleans. Melanie has practiced as a licensed social worker for five years. She enjoys working with youth and families struggling to communicate or dealing with trauma. She has worked in clinical and community settings as well as medical. More recently Melanie has begun working with individuals with chronic illnesses i.e. Lupus. Melanie is straight- forward, honest yet compassionate, and understanding. Her therapeutic approach involves collaborating with her clients and helping them identify personal strengths and natural supports. Melanie works to help her clients focus on effective communication, healthy boundaries, and changing behavior patterns. Melanie uses a combination of CBT, Trauma Focused CBT, and Solution Focused Therapy along with therapeutic techniques.

Lauren Gonzales is a pre-licensed professional who has had two years of internship experience working in a variety of settings. Her passion is to work with adolescent and young adult populations but has also serviced older adults and families. Her experience ranges from elementary schools, and high school outreach programs, as well as community mental health centers and agencies. Lauren believes the interpersonal connection with one’s self is the most important relationship to have and shares her empathetic abilities in sessions with her clients. Her approach is sincere, sensitive but challenging, ethical, and nonjudgmental. She practices Solution Focused Brief Therapy guidelines as well as Cognitive-Behavioral exercises. Lauren believes in working with you, the client, on: your present day-to-day life functioning, ideal future, solutions, and goals throughout the therapeutic process. She is experienced in helping clients through trauma, addiction, stress, grief, and loss.
Ebony is a University of New Orleans graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
Ebony went on to earn her Master’s degree in Social Work from Southern University at New Orleans. Ebony has practiced as a licensed professional for over nine years and over 15 years as a Social Worker. She focuses on working with the adult population and has experience working with youth and families. Her approach is compassionate, patient, and non-judgmental. Ebony uses a combination of CBT Trauma Focused CBT, and she also has training in DBT.

Casey is a provisional Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has had two years of internships working with various clients such as couples, families, individuals, teens, and children with special needs. In session, Casey utilizes your strengths as an individual alongside therapeutic tools and theory such as Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative, Structural, and Cognitive Behavioral methods that fit your client needs and enable you to achieve your therapeutic goals successfully. Casey is an easy-going person who is skilled in using the things you are interested in (games, anime, movies, etc.) to create a safe, nonjudgmental space. This safe place will be incorporated in a therapeutic process that helps you learn and recognize your strength forming healthy coping mechanisms for everyday life changes.
